| Abstract: | The article deals with the main ideas of M.M. Bakhtin‘s theory of speech genres. In concrete examples, the application of this theory to translation is analyzed. Particular attention is paid to the pragmatic orientation and taking into account the characteristics of the addressee. In this context, some approaches to automatic translation are considered. |
