| Abstract: | The article attempts to provide an overview of pragmatic aspects and common translating strategies of the paratext in the media discourse. An analysis of English-Ukrainian and Ukrainian-English translations of online media was conducted. The study has confirmed that paratextual elements affect the recipient’s perspective and vary in their function and level of pragmatic influence, in some cases requiring translator’s creativity and comprehensive transformations. |
