Item Advanced New Free Route Airspace Relevant Points Assignment in Ukraine's Interfaces(National Aviation University, 2023-12) Parkhomenko, Nadiia; Пархоменко, Надія МаксимівнаAir travel has become an important part of modern life around the world. As air traffic volumes continue to grow, an important factor of this development is the implementation of free airspace (FRA) measures aimed at improving flight routes, reducing fuel consumption, reducing ozone-depleting emissions. The implementation of FRA airspace offers potential opportunities for smooth air traffic, but is also accompanied by the development of specialised, functional and administrative challenges. This work aims to research, analyse and propose progressive responses to the challenges that are focussed within FRA, which will contribute to improved air traffic management and consistent FRA coordination in complex local environments. By overcoming these challenges, we can ensure safer, more productive and environmentally friendly air transport in this critical international region.Item Air traffic controllers activity in conditions of increased workload(2020-12) Мельничок, Антон МихайловичEvery person who for the first time somehow finds himself in the hall where air traffic controllers work, has the impression of a very calm atmosphere. But it is deceptive. Outside this calm hides a huge internal tension. The tension of responsibility that each of the employees in the control room bears personally and cannot be transferred to someone else. And the point here is neither in clearly described procedures and rules, nor in the desire to prove that they can cope with the situation, but in the unusual nature of these people. Each of them throughout the nervous system feels that the dots that glow on the indicator are hundreds of human hearts, which they have no right to stop because of, sometimes, nonsensical errors. Therefore, no matter how difficult the situation, no matter how strong the tension, the most important task of the dispatcher is the obligation to remember, On average, about 3,000 people die each year in plane crashes worldwide. In comparison with these data we will give the same statistics of road accidents, and we will see that the indicator of victi is much bigger. This type of transport takes more than 30,000 lives, and only in Ukraine. That is, according to statistics, civil aviation is the safest mode of aero port. However, gradually the intensity of air traffic increases, the number of airlines and, accordingly, the transportation of both passengers and cargo. According to Eurocontrol statistics for the next 3 years in the European region is projected to increase air traffic by an average of 3.7% annually. Despite the introduction of the concept of flexible use of airspace, the activities of air traffic controllers are becoming more complex every year. They have to work in conditions of constant increased workload and stress. It is known that at relatively low levels of functional stress, performance is restored fairly quickly, and no harmful effects on the human body do not occur. However, in cases where the functional stress reaches levels at which the restoration of the spent functional potential during the work shift is impossible, conditions are created to reduce the efficiency of the employee. Usually short-term rest and change of activity promote restoration of the spent resources of an organism.Item Aircraft incident and accident investigation techniques with the help of proactive measures(Національний авіаційний університет, 2020-12) Bas, Bohdan; Бас, Богдан ВалерійовичCivil aviation is a strategic priority of geopolitical, social and economic development of Ukraine and an important part of production and social infrastructure. Its sustainable, efficient operation is a necessary condition for national security, sustainable economic growth and improving living standards. With the beginning of the restructuring of economic relations, the volume of aviation activity in Ukraine has decreased significantly. The financial situation of aviation enterprises has become more complicated. It has led to a reduction in the development and improvement of civil aviation, and led not only to a slowdown in scientific and technological progress, but also to a deterioration in its technical condition. The fashion for the creation of "independent structural units" within enterprises and the industry as a whole in search of economic benefit has pushed to the background the issue of flight safety. Annual, long-term structural reorganizations with the Aviation Administration of Ukraine do not allow effective and efficient management. The predominant interests of "commerce" lead to the widespread use of strictly prohibited methods: the irreversible process of deconstruction aircraft and rearranging units, engines and equipment from one aircraft to another, extending the resources of aircraft without a proper assessment of its condition which inevitably leads to complete lack of control on the part of the Aviation Administration of Ukraine. It indicates that the level of flight safety in the air navigation system of Ukraine is not provided. A number of problems in safety theory are caused by imperfect methods of scientific research, in particular, when planning airspace.Item Cellular communication usage in aircraft(National Aviation University, 2023-12) Bodnar, Oleh Ihorovich; Боднар, Олег ІгоровичLiterature Review - A comprehensive review of relevant literature, including scientific articles, studies, industry reports, and regulations, was conducted to gather information on the current state of aircraft cellular communications technologies. These case studies provide insight into the practical implementation, benefits, challenges and lessons learned through cellular communication in aircraft. Surveys and interviews: Surveys and interviews were conducted with passengers, crew members, aviation industry professionals, and regulators to gather data and opinions on the use of cellular technology on aircraft. This research aims to understand the potential benefits and challenges of introducing cellular technologies on aircraft and aims to contribute to the development of recommendations, practices and standards to promote the effective and safe use of these technologies in the aviation industry.Item Centralized airport SLOTs allocation system(Національний авіаційний університет, 2020-12) Матлак, Михайло Сергійович; Matlak, MykhailoScientific and technological development in the XXI century changed a lot of industries. Innovations have not spared the aviation sphere as well, brought air transportation to one of the most demanded, fast, and widespread kinds of transport. Air carriers reacted immediately that demand had increased and began to gain the volume of transportation. However, the better part of significant airports was built in the previous century, and their infrastructure has not been designed for volumes of nowadays traffic. The rapid growth of air transportations led to a shortage of available aircraft parking places, runways, and ground handling resources. Air traffic continued to outstrip available infrastructure, therefore the number of delays grew very fast. Diversions of aircraft to alternate aerodromes have also become more frequent due to the impossibility of staying in the holding areas near the destination airports. The very high amount of ground and air delays coupled with diversions were leading to great losses for both air carriers and airports. Such situation would lead to the opposite effect, decreasing air transportation and slowdown in the development of the whole aviation industry. To avoid traffic congestions due to exceeding of airport capacity were invented airport SLOTs. They have specified allotted time for an aircraft to land or take off at an airport as well as a time limit for aircraft ground handling. Through SLOTs, airport authorities managed traffic volume, dividing it into portions. Uniform continuous traffic has allowed to serve air transportations without extension of airport infrastructure and to avoid constant delays. Usage of airport SLOTs also helped to deal with irregular distribution of frequencies of passenger flights in the big hub airports. Airlines that use the hub and spoke transportation concept have priority SLOTs in their own hub airports for useful transfer flights. At the same time, airlines, which use the point-to-point model, and have a desire to fly to the hub airports, have to revise their schedule to operate flights between rush hours of basic airport carriers. Equal distributions of frequencies give advantages for both airports and passengers. There is no downtime at airports, and passengers can choose more suitable time for a flight. Nowadays, if carriers want to operate any type of flight in a conventional airport, besides permission to land, they would need to obtain airport SLOTs. Airport SLOTs obtaining procedure is not hard but may be very long. There are a lot of factors that can influence it, for example, type of aircraft, kind of operations, operator certificates, etc. All mentioned factors in busy airports make SLOT obtaining procedure unbearably difficult, and it leads to decrease in the attractiveness of the airport for operations.Item Comparative analysis of air traffic controllers workload with expert judgment methods(Національний авіаційний університет, 2020-12) Голубцова, Тетяна Володимирівна; Holubtsova, Tetiana VolodymyrivnaNowadays the Artificial Intelligence methods are used in all sphere of life. It supports a human in all the activities that are potentially important when the question is about safety. Aviation is one of the prospective branches of science development, that gives a possibility of fast and economically efficient transportation. However, the most important thing in aviation always remains safety. To provide safety in this case is not only to reach final point of destination, but to make that without disproportionate costs of human lives. For the safety needs were taken in consideration developed such important things like team work, skills formation and risk assessment. Also was significantly developed technical base- new systems that help a human operator to prevent collision risks. But to obtain a strong Safety Management System, a big amount of factors from different sights should be taken into account. It mean, that the complex environment research of the aviation enterprises conditions should be provided. And a lot of internal and external factors were analyzed and classified to see the significance of a factor on aviation. Aviation safety management should form and provide the safety flight goals rationally, without waste of resources, whether it be labor resources or material. Every factor that can affect the aviation can affect all the Decision Making process. The Artificial intelligence is a fast spreading in transportations technologies. The AI has a strong potential to be used in aviation, in particular-in ATM, when decisionmaking in uncertainty should be provided and the precision with limited information is necessary to be obtained. The AI system is able to forecast the ATCO actions with the accuracy of 70% ,using the data about previous flights.Item Decision making in emergency situation of air navigation system’s operator: low oil pressure.(Національний авіаційний університет., 2020-02) Krepak, Dariia IhorivnaAir navigation system can be considered as a complex system with multiple composite parts or subsystems that constantly interact with each other, e.g.: – Airspace users (AU); – Air navigation service providers (ANSP); – Airports; – Network Manager (NM). Due to growing demand in air transportation, the complexity of the systems and load on it increases constantly. However, at the same time, the requirements for the level of safety, security remains the same. In order to meet the required levels of safety, there is a need for supporting systems that would support operators (e.g. flight crew, air traffic controller, etc.) of air navigation systems in making decision in day-to-day operations. That’s why the decision support systems became widely used in the air navigation systems to support the human operators. They are aimed at helping and supporting decision making processes or human operators in air transportation sphere and allow them to select the best decision in conditions of limited time or uncertainty. The wide introduction of decision support systems in air navigation will contribute to the optimisation of human operator work which will lead to an increase in operational efficiency and safety. One of the components that negatively contribute to the safety of flights are human errors that could lead to emergency situations and later on to incidents or accidents. The emergency situation of low oil pressure is a serious issue for both flight crew and air traffic controller and possess a threat to the flight safety due to its nature. It can lead to serious incidents and accidents and due to the type of the issue it is close to impossible to eliminate it. However, it is possible to provide all necessary means to support decision making of a human operator (e.g. air traffic controller) to ensure that correct and safe decisions are taken by the operator to resolve an emergency situation.Item Decision-making process during simulator training of air traffic controller .(Національний авіаційний університет., 2020-02) Rassokha, IhorIt is very important to provide safe, ordinary and expedite air traffic. The amount of people, who use air transport, is growing from day to day. That is why, it is very necessary to handle with capacity that is arisen. Today it’s very important to increase capacity and decrease workload of Air Traffic Controllers. The main indicator in reaching this aim is decision making time. Decreasing it we will really reach safe, ordinary and expedite air traffic. Goal of the work – analyzing and investigation of current Air Traffic Control decision making time in Ukraine. For achieving of this goal the following tasks have been established: • to analyse and investigate present decision making process • to analyse and investigate current decision making time among ATC-students; • to evaluate all received results. Generally, decreasing of ATC decision making time at Ukraine would bring a lot of advantages and benefits for our country.Item Delays in ground handling service of aircrafts in air traffic control system(National Aviation University, 2023-12) Olabyna, Yuliia; Олабина, Юлія ІванівнаThe thesis contain main causes of delays that occur during ground handling, their impact on flight schedules, and possible consequences for passengers and airlines. Analyzing the impact of age on professional performance allows us to gain new knowledge about which groups of air traffic controllers may need additional support and what methods we can use to improve the performance of air traffic controllers. It also helps to prevent the decline in ATC performance as they age.Item Features of air traffic control during automated flight of an aircraft(National Aviation University, 2023-12) Lyashik, Rostyslav Sergiyovich; Ляшик, Ростислав СергійовичThe relevance of the study lies in the possibility of improving the organisation of airspace, making them safer, more efficient and environmentally sustainable through the development and optimisation of satellite systems. The results of the thesis are recommended for use in the organisation of downwind traffic: The developed air traffic controller action strategies can be used by airlines.Item Flight information service in Ukraine.(Національний авіаційний університет., 2020-02) Kurylovych, Oleksandr YuriyovichFlight information region (FIR) is a specified region of airspace in which a flight information service and an alerting service are provided. It is the largest regular division of airspace in use in the world today. Flight information regions established throughout all territory of the country. That why it is very important to provide flight information service in the best way. Flight information service is a form of air traffic service that is available to any aircraft within a flight information region (FIR), as agreed internationally by ICAO. It is defined as information pertinent to the safe and efficient conduct of flight, and includes information on other potentially conflicting traffic, possibly derived from radar, but stopping short of providing positive separation from that traffic. Flight information service does not relieve the pilot from any responsibility. Pilot is definitively responsible for the safe execution of flight. This service has a lot of potential FIR risks and issue topics are how air traffic controllers and systems maintain standard aircraft separation during transitions/handovers between adjacent FIRs or FIR sectors. Another is unanticipated flight path changes for weather-related rerouting/flight level changes, emergencies, diversions, etc. Other potential issues are the risks in ATC management of dynamic airspace boundaries, airspace reconfigurations, and integrating legacy technologies The number of flights in FIRs is growing up and it means that quantity of work also increases. FIC needs to have controllers with the best professional qualities. Training process must be improved for such purposes. That is why I decided to show this problem and propose development paths.Item GNSS характеристики та вплив погоди на фінальному етапі заходу на посадку.(Національний авіаційний університет., 2020-02) Ирадукунда, КлариссаIn the Civil Aviation sphere, Research activities aim to improve efficiency and tightening safety targets by providing new strategies of operations, all this is achieved through the implementation of modern and new Communication, Navigation, Surveillance and Air Traffic Management process. In Air Navigation, these goals are met by improving the exiting services and introduce the new one applicable for navigation towards safety, more reliable approach in all weather conditions. The Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) has been identified as a key to technology by providing essential position and timing information supporting flight and ATM operations. GNSS can be observed in the fitting of new CA Aircraft, since a majority of them are now equipped with its receivers. GNSS contains numerous satellites, for instance GPS for The United State of America, Glonass for Russian Federation, Galileo for Europeans Unions, Beidou for Chinese, and more that are still under development. This Master’s has demonstrated the power and benefits of combining two satellites for better performance This thesis argues that atmospheric layers (Ionosphere, Troposphere) do play a vital role on the perturbation of signals from Satellites, in order to improve navigation regardless of the lost signals. Pseudo-range model is presented together with the performance of GNSS integrity with two constellations (GPS combined with Galileo). However, a significant number of reports have been received on different harmful interference to GNSS signals and some suggestions to correct those were mentioned. This thesis focuses on the final approach of an aircraft using combined signals for reliability and safety navigation in CAT I operation. Lastly an innovative algorithm is presented for better guidance at the final approach.Item Integrated flight data vision system for general aviation(2013) Hanzha, T.S.Item Method of optimization of the process of managing risk factors of aviation events based on the criterion of minimum total costs(Національний авіаційний університет, 2020-12) Єнотова, Марія Максимівна; Yenotova, Mariia MaksymivnaThe master thesis assignment to diploma work “Method of optimization of the process of managing risk factors of aviation events based on the criterion of minimum total costs” contains 26 illustrative figures, graphs, 49 formulas and 7 tables.
