Сучасний професійний профіль викладача перекладу в європейському просторі вищої освіти

Abstract

The suggested exploration is devoted to the urgent and under-researched issue of drawing up a competence-based profile of a translation teacher. It briefly reviews which areas of such a profile have been addressed in modern scientific literature. This paper is based on the European experience and attempts to link recently developed UK professional standards in higher education teaching to our field. The theoretical part of this study illustrates that for translator trainers, as for all other professions, drawing up a competence-based profile allows for better analysis of the current situation, and for more appropriate training to be designed. The background ends with an overview of the professional competences developed by the EMT Translator Trainer Profile Competences of the trainer in translation.
