Artificial lighting as an element of the aesthetic image of parks and squares

Today, life without light is impossible to imagine. It accompanies us every step of the way. However, open spaces such as parks, squares, boulevards and seafronts should be considered, as they are very important for the life of the city and the right lighting makes them unique. In the dark, an important component of parks, squares and boulevards is the artificial lighting of green areas. Properly designed lighting is the comfort and safety of people in the dark. The types of lighting have improved a lot lately. Using lanterns is not the only way to illuminate cities. It was especially popular to get light using solar panels.
Conversation of the Kadetskiy Hai Park on the space without barriers

Introduction. The reconstruction of the Kadetskiy Hai Park, located in the Solomenskiy district of Kyiv, can solve not only the greening of the city. It is known that the territory of the park has a difficult terrain, significant - up to 14 m - elevation difference, low level of improvement. But the convenient location in the city system gives him the attractiveness of organizing recreation and entertainment areas. The purpose of the work is to develop project proposals for the reorganization of the territory of the Kiev Cadet Grove Park in order to increase the level of comfort of living in residential areas nearby.
Features of communications organization In the educational building №8-a NAU

Introduction. The academic building №8 holds a special place in the campus of the National Aviation University (NAU). The sixteen-storied building was constructed in the years of 1973-1976, and now it is a dominant building block and a kind of urban business card of the institution. Formulation of the problem. Organization of communications in public buildings is an integral part of the three-dimensional planning structure design. Comfort of the stay and moving, operational safety, building management, and ensuring a rapid and efficient evacuation in emergencies depend on the communications amount, location, capacity, and design decisions. The object of study is the three-dimensional structure of the academic building №8-a, NAU. The subject of the study is the organization of horizontal and vertical communications. The research was performed in December 2019 during a typological analysis of the building under the guidance of the faculty of the Department of Urban Planning of the Faculty of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Design.
Features of using solar panels on the roofs of low-rise buildings in Ukraine

Lately, society has been striving to improve the environment status of the environment. That is evident in the use of environmentally friendly materials, newest devices such as electronically switched motors, EU fans, various current converters like inverters or solar panels. Modern people have begun to make extensive use of alternative energy sources, namely solar panels, which can significantly reduce electricity consumption. After studying and analyzing the information, it can be concluded that for low-rise buildings, it is advisable and environmentally sound to use solar panels as alternative sources of energy if you set up a solar grid station of sufficient capacity and get a green tariff.

Introduction. Landscaping and recreation areas of large cities create a kind of landscaping and open spaces for various purposes. Recently, special attention has been paid to the improvement of the territories of urban parks and their transformation into thematic areas of recreation, entertainment, etc. Formulation of the problem. Kadetskiy Hai Park is located on the historical site of the Solomenskiy district of Kyiv, but the organization of its territory does little to confirm this. During the development of pre-project proposals for the reorganization of the territory, it was decided to focus on military issues so that people would pay attention and remember our ancestors who had done so much for us.

Project proposals for "Cadet" thematic park creation

Introduction. The Cadet Grove is a historic site at the suburban residence of the Metropolitan of Kiev at Shulyavka, through which the right tributary of the Lybid River flows. The name is derived from the erected on this site in 1849-1857 Vladimir Cadet Corps. The territory stretches between Solomenka, Chokolivka and Shulyavka, occupying some of the modern May Day residential area and Povitroflotsky Prospect. The site has a convenient location near multi-storey residential complexes, convenient transportation, diverse terrain, so this area can be attractive for the development of a park area in an urban environment. The goal of the work. Provide suggestions on the historical stylization of the territory with a focus on the subject of the Cadet Grove, the creation of a theme park, which combines recreation, entertainment, attractions, landscaping areas and more. For the placement of the children's gaming and entertaining complex "KADET" a site was selected, which requires carrying out a complex of works on engineering training (drainage, site planning, etc.).
Space component of the city architectural environment

The urgency of the problem. Nowadays the topic of space exploration has proved to be very relevant for the world as a whole and for Ukraine. Almost all spheres of science are developing rather methodically and gradually. At the same time, space exploration is heterogeneous due to a number of factors, including economic, social and political factors. The sharp decline of Ukrainian space activity in the first years of independence and in times of crisis, of course, had a certain impact on the further progress of this field. However, our country is still a leader in space exploration. And our country provides space products, services and technologies in the world market. This year it has begun a development a plan of the integration of Ukraine into the European Space Agency. This work is mainly done on initiative of the scientists and not indifferent people who emphasize the importance of the development of astronautics and aviation, in particular by means of architecture. The problem is that the development of the Ukrainian space industry needs a constant focus on itself. Otherwise, the more "squat" problems of the domestic economy are pushing it out of the list of priority tasks. An important goal of our generation is to keep the space industry at a desirable level to develop it in the sequel. Unfortunately, this issue is not currently being promoted by potential specialists, and the interest in this field is gradually disappearing. In most cases, the people are not aware of the country's achievements in space and do not consider it important. It can be used an architectural environment to promote cosmonautics. Firstly, it involves all ages of citizens. Secondly, the information from the environment is unobtrusively delayed in the subconscious. Thirdly, it forms the correct and true idea of the cosmos. Every town or city of Uktaine that is connected with cosmonautics reflects the space theme in its own territory. These are 65 museums dedicated to space exploration, urban names (names of the streets, avenues and squares), small architectural forms, scenery and etc. . The goal of the work – to analyze the means that have been used (and continue to be used) in the territory of the town of Druzhkovka, Donetsk region, to promote the theme of Space.
Sundials - astronomical decoration of the urban environment

Today sundials are elements of the facade solution of buildings or independent street/ park constructions. They have individual constructive solutions and architectural design that reminding about the old way of measuring time. In the urban environment, the most common are the clock with the vertical dial. Recently, the popularity of watches with horizontal dial, which are located in the territories of parks, squares, quays, etc., is increasing. Formulation of the problem. Each type of sundial has it own advantages and disadvantages. The mode of operation is common to them - only by clear skies. Users of vertical watch can keep track of time from a distance. Horizontal clock watches require the presence of users at short distances or allow them to become a direct participants in the definition of time. The object of study is the urban environment of Kyiv. The subject of the study - features and means of implementation sundials with a horizontal dial in the architectural and planning organization of the city. The research was carried out in March 2020 during the development of pre-project proposals for the organization of urban spaces in Kiev with the guidance of teachers of the department of architecture, design and town planning, the FABD.
The use of parametric principles in the elements of park architecture

The beginning of XXI century is marked by the emergence of research, experimentation and implementation in the direction of “paramentric”. Parametric principles have been applied in the design of architectural elements of the park. Based on the research, we can conclude that in the design of parks the direction of parametricism is a really new avant-garde style. It largely relies on the structural, constructive and formative principles of nature, thereby continuing to develop the organic approach to a new level. The main feature of parametricism is the appeal to nonlinear forms, which brings it closer to bionic architecture. Thus, this new style is a natural step in the development of modern park architecture and integrates its achievement in the formation, relying on new design technologies and newest construction technologies.
Use of modern concrete substitutes in construction and architecture

Concrete is a versatile building material that is used in virtually all construction industries. The most common use of concrete for the manufacture of enclosures and load-bearing structures in civil and industrial construction. Monolithic construction of homes is becoming more widely used. Concrete is used for architectural expressiveness of buildings, elements of small and landscape architecture with the use of white and colored cements, decorative fillers and various surface treatments. Concretes are widely used in road and airfield construction. But there are drawbacks to the material: metal reinforcement creates electric fields inside the concrete that have a bad effect on human health; concrete production pollutes the atmosphere; early crack formation in the elongated and rapid opening; great weight. This encourages professionals to look for other materials that could replace concrete in various aspects of construction.
Using round forms in urban planning

The round shape has a natural township and city, which was a lot built in the history of mankind. For the construction of defensive structures circle is the most economical form. In the territories where the landscape allowed, the cities sought to round outlines, even the presence of a hill of rivers or riverand were not for the form of a circle obstacle. Like the rings in trees, as well as in historical development round city increases the ring residential quarters, protective and social buildings. Round form was associated with the minimum length of the city walls, which significantly saves the effort on their erection. A circulate shape is very simple to create on the terrain with one rather long rope. This form is readily achieved, which also speaks of its economic effectiveness.
