Abstract: The article analyzes the requirements to the flight performance of transport category aircraft to estimate the level of flight safety, taking into account all the factors and causes. Modern economic situation sets tasks of constant raise of air transport (AT) operation effectiveness. It demands provision of flights practically in any weather, day and night, in most diverse natural and climatic conditions. But in the process of operation it is necessary to ensure the required level of flight safety. Therefore, one of the main directions of operational science is the expansion of airworthiness standards for aircraft (AC).
