    Particulars of forming a power of attorney by citizens of Ukraine abroad

    Execution of transactions by third parties by power of attorney is the most common type of representation of interests. According to the third part of Art. 244 of the Civil Code of Ukraine, a power of attorney is a written document issued by one person to another person for representation before third parties. A power of attorney to perform a deed by a representative can be granted by the person represented (the principal) directly to a third party.

    Procedure for state registration of marriage with a military servant under the conditions of marital law

    The introduction of martial law in Ukraine by Presidential Decree N 64/2022 of February 24, 2022 entailed the need to amend most of the regulatory acts and legal procedures. This need has not escaped the field of family law. As a general rule, the state registration of marriage is regulated by Chapter 4 of the Family Code of Ukraine (hereinafter – the FC of Ukraine) and does not provide for any specifics regarding the registration of a marriage with a military serviceman or with a representative of any other profession. However, this rule has found its exception
