Abstract
Introduction to the Dynamics part of Theoretical Mechanics. Considered the Dynamics of a material particle and Dynamics of a rigid body in the generally described manner. The lecture was delivered at Tallinna Tehnikakõrgkool on the 07th of December, 2006. Special attention is paid to the Newton’s Laws as the foundation for the introduction to Dynamics. Dynamics of a material particle is discussed in the framework of two main problems of Dynamics.
Description
Mechanics is conventionally considered to be the first part of Physics. Historically, it was the first step of physics creation made by a number of outstanding ancient philosophers. Their physical conceptions had not been disputing for about two thousand years. Now, we use eight certain definitions, three axioms or laws of motion, six corollaries, and a number of theorems that help us solve specified problems of mechanical motion. Principally we consider two main kinds of problems in Dynamics.
