ФУНКЦІОНУВАННЯ НЕВЕРБАЛЬНОГО ЗАСОБУ ″ГОЛОС″ У ДИСКУРСІ АНГЛОМОВНОГО ОБМАННИКА

Abstract

This article focuses on nonverbal aspects of the liar’s discourse behaviour in modern English fiction. It elucidates pragmatic and emotive peculiarities of producing a communicative influence on the interlocutor in order to deceive him/her. The nonverbal discourse behavioural component of voice used by the English-speaking liar has been viewed with regard to the emotive factor, and its pragmatic features have also been established.
