Development of regional transport infrastructure: Dnepropetrovsk region

Abstract

Dnipropetrovsk region is one of the parts of Prydniprovsk economic region. Prydniprovsk takes second place in the country by the volume of industrial production and is one of the largest industrial regions of Ukraine. The following types of transport are developed in Prydniprovsk: railway, water, automobile, and aviation. Railway transport plays a leading role in the transport system of Prydniprovsk. The Dnipro significantly facilitates the development of water transport, especially after the construction of “Dniprogess”.

Дніпропетровська область — одна з частин Придніпровського економічного району. Придніпровськ займає друге місце в країні за обсягом промислового виробництва і є однією з найбільших промислові регіони України. У Придніпровську розвиваються такі види транспорту: залізничний, водний, автомобільний, авіаційний. Провідну роль у транспорті відіграє залізничний транспорт системи Придніпров. Дніпро значно сприяє розвитку водного транспорту, особливо після будівництва «Дніпрогесу».
