Forecast of international air transportation development in Ukraine

Abstract

Aviation - one of the most important sectors of the national economy, the effective functioning of which is a necessary condition for structural change, development and conduct of foreign economic activity, meeting the needs of the population and social production in transportation and more. The purpose and main tasks of the passenger traffic forecast are to provide a strategic assessment of potential passenger traffic in potential destinations and to prepare a response plan in advance for possible changes. Influenced by market demands and the needs of changing times, aviation companies are forced to adapt and create new business models - the introduction of business that would be adequate responses to the demands of the external market environment during COVID-19. The COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic is the biggest test the world has faced since World War II. Appearing in Asia late last year, the virus has spread to every continent except Antarctica, and as of May 13, 4.17 million cases of coronavirus and 287,000 deaths have been confirmed worldwide. The first case of COVID-19 in Ukraine was recorded on April 4, 2020, and as of November 22, 624,744 cases and 10,951 deaths were confirmed in the country.

Авіація - одна з найважливіших галузей національної економіки, ефективне функціонування якої є необхідною умовою структурних змін, розвитку та ведення зовнішньоекономічної діяльності, задоволення потреб населення та суспільного виробництва в транспорті тощо. Метою та основними завданнями прогнозу пасажирських перевезень є надання стратегічної оцінки потенційних пасажирських перевезень у потенційних напрямках та заздалегідь підготовка плану реагування на можливі зміни. Під впливом вимог ринку та потреб мінливих часів авіаційні компанії змушені адаптуватися та створювати нові бізнес-моделі - запровадження бізнесу, який був би адекватним відповіддю на вимоги зовнішнього ринкового середовища під час COVID-19. Пандемія коронавірусу COVID-19 є найбільшим випробуванням, з яким зіткнувся світ після Другої світової війни. З'явившись в Азії наприкінці минулого року, вірус поширився на всі континенти, крім Антарктиди, і станом на 13 травня у всьому світі було підтверджено 4,17 мільйона випадків коронавірусу та 287 000 смертей. Перший випадок захворювання на COVID-19 в Україні був зафіксований 4 квітня 2020 року, а станом на 22 листопада в країні було підтверджено 624 744 випадки та 10 951 смерть.
