Concept of the higher education under sociocultural analysis: objectivating methodology for sociological microanalysis

Abstract

The concept of higher education in the perspective of socio-cultural analysis is analyzed and the methodology for sociological microanalysis is substantiated. It is noted that the sociocultural approach deserves attention among the diversity of culturological approaches to the analysis of higher education. It is analyzed the particular element of higher education: the history of universities, their institutional links, the structure, functioning of higher education institutions in a particular social, cultural and national environment, the structure of university knowledge, etc. Under such conditions, the analysis of higher education as a cultural phenomenon in the realities of the global cosmopolitan environment is much more complicated.
