Підготовка майбутніх інженерів до усних презентацій

Abstract

Стаття присвячена актуальним проблемам теорії та практики підготовки майбутніх інженерів до використання презентацій англійською мовою під час навчального процесу. Автор уточнює термін «презентація», визначає типи презентацій, які застосовуються для навчання майбутніх інженерів, розглядає особливості застосування презентацій при вивченні іноземної мови та описує етапи роботи над презентацією. У статті також зазначаються переваги використання презентацій при вивченні іноземної мови професійного спрямування.

The article is devoted to the topical issues of the theory and practice of preparing future engineers for presentations in English during the educational process. The author clarifies the term "presentation", considers the types of presentations used to train future engineers and special features of applying presentations during ESP learning, and describes the stages of presentations. The article also indicated the benefits of oral presentations for ESP learning. The benefits of using oral presentations during ESP classes are as follows: they help students improve their presentation and communication skills, require students to use all four language skills (reading, writing, listening and speaking), allow students to interact and participate more in the classroom and increase their interest in learning ESP, give students an opportunity to develop their research and critical thinking skills, as well as linguistic skills.
