Item The status of renewable energy resources in Europe and comparison of Turkey(Талком, Київ, 2020-04) Sozen, Muhammed TolgaEnergy is one of the basic needs of human beings during their historical development. However, with the opportunities provided by nature, the need for energy resources in nature continues to increase day by day. In less developed countries, consumption increases with only population increase; in developing countries, energy supply will continue intensely in the near future as a result of industrialization, increasing people's income level and technological developments. It is an undeniable fact that fossil energy sources, which are called as non-renewable energy sources, cause serious environmental problems in the world, especially in Europe, that their reserves will be depleted between the years 2050-2100, and that interest in renewable energy sources starts to increase as a result of fluctuations in prices.Item "Third parties in the palestinian-israeli crisis could there be an effect?"(Талком, Київ, 2020-04) Yalcin, CuneytWhat is war, how does it occur and why does it continue or has it been fought so far only because of economic, political, religious conflicts, these are difficult questions to answer. In this study, the effects of political developments, mobility and changes in the country on actors, crises and scenes were examined. The Middle East region, with its location and history, is one of the geographies where religion factor is most effective. The Middle East region has been a region where humanity has existed, lived and developed religions throughout history. Societies fought for religion for centuries, they all wanted to spread their beliefs and keep them alive. However, as a result of the reform struggles of the peoples that started with the 16th century and progressed in the following centuries, the religious conflicts have partially lost their effect worldwide. Israel’s formation of a Jewish state in a Muslim geography in the new world order created after the great wars in the 20th century caused the communities in the region to fuel their religious beliefs and keep them alive.Item Soft power concept in international relations and soft power tools in turkish foreign policy(Талком, Київ, 2020-04) Zincir, HakanThe concept of power has always been at the top of the concepts that affect international relations since the darkest times of history. After his election to presidency the discourse of a peaceful policy which Obama was expressing in contrast to military based policies of Bush administration led him to be criticized by both American and International public opinion. Obama, who took office in 2009, took steps to pursue peaceful relations with Iran, unlike his previous Bush administration. Ahmedinejad’s gratulation for Obama after he won the elections, and his signals which meant that negotiations could take place if the discussions were positive, were two significant steps towards working for solutions for the disputes between US and Iran. Obama's requests for the Iranian Revolutionary Guards to be removed from the terrorist list, as well as Israeli-Palestinian peace, are indicative of his peaceful foreign policy.Item Far right-wing politics and statements France (national front) sample(Талком, Київ, 2020-04) Yilmaz, PinarThe year 1980 was a turning point for far-right parties that started to rise again after the European Cold War. After the Iran islam revolution, Iran has been trying to expand Shi'ism with the policy of idealism in the Middle East Region. This policy of Iran was perceived as expansionism by Sunni Arab countries. Due to this expansionist behavior, Iran has been accused of blockade the Sunni States by creating a Shia Crescent but Iran hasn't accepted these accusations. Iran used the concept of the Resistance Axis, which was put forward to defend Iran, Iraq and North Korea, which the US accused as evil axis, used it as a thesis against the Shia crescent concept. When we base the concept of identity, we will see how these concepts complement each other in this study. Especially in the 80’s and 90’s, the political, cultural, economic and social changes that developed in the western world gave a very different dimension to the concept. Of course, these changes brought together the demands of diverse communities and minority groups emerging in Continental Europe. These differences, which are apparent in every field, both economically, socially and culturally, constitute a new model for identities, nation-state and ethnicity in the field of social sciences. Historical facts and social events around the individual or in the past play a significant role in the formation of identities. Thus, identities are alive and they are the structures that are open to constant change. Essentially what matters here is how the individual defines himself and the questions of this issue are “Who am I?”, “where do I feel like I belong? The answers given to these questions will eventually take us to the individual’s self. (Gleason, 2006).Item PKK terrorist organization and european finance sources(Талком, Київ, 2020-04) Oflaz, Mustafa CanTurkey that the fight against terrorism and the most suffering in this regard, are among the countries that military and civilian casualties. There is no doubt that Saudi Arabia, whose budget is largely dependent on oil revenues, is expected to meet the needs of the current oil reserves in the world for about 40-50 years, so that oil revenues are not sustainable, so a comprehensive economic reform is needed. Based on this reality, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has launched the Vision 2030 program, which is aimed at increasing the value of nonoil revenues and revealing the next year when oil will not be among the primary energy sources of the world, under the leadership of Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman. Although Vision 2030 was prepared based on economic goals, it is considered the beginning of some radical social and cultural transformations. How the society and the different power focuses will respond to these broad transformations will be decisive in the program.Item The effects of social media on public movements in Arab Spring(Талком, Київ, 2020-04) Akpinar, TolgaAt the very beginning of the 21st century, social media platforms were the determinants of the social events that took the form of regional uprising, which were triggered by the dictatorial regimes in Egypt, Libya, Syria, Bahrain, Algeria, Jordan, Yemen and particularly Tunisia and which would later be called the "Arab Spring". Talking about its role is inevitable in terms of pointing out the importance of technology for future generations. In addition to the contribution of technology to communication and improvement of human relations in social life, it has also emerged as an undeniable fact that transforming the organizational culture in the point of resistance against oppression. Item Status of english in the EU: post-Brexit landscape(Талком, Київ, 2020-04) Snegireva, ElizavetaPost-Brexit status of the English language has been igniting dispute and commotion of attitudes across Europe for several years now. Opinion is divided on the subject: after Brexit, can or cannot English retain its status as one of the EU official or working languages? On the one hand, preserving English as an official language of the EU can be problematic after Brexit. In the EU, every member-state enjoys the right to choose one official native language. Malta and Ireland are the only two countries in which English is official, but when they joined the Union, Malta chose Maltese and Ireland chose Irish as their official languages. This means that after the UK finally “brexits”, there remain no member-states that have opted for English as their official EU language. Item Developing students' cognitive skills and abilities in english lessons for improving their professional efficiency(Талком, Київ, 2020-04) Kovalenko, OlhaFast-paced environment within the processes of globalization in the whole world has predetermined different social changes not only in the sphere of politics, economy, information technology and intercultural relationship among peoples, but also in the field of education in general, and Higher education in particular. Higher educational establishments have to prepare highly qualified specialists with the sufficient level of one or two foreign languages, who would be able to communicate fluently not only on the household level (private letters, small talks, chatting rooms, friendly conversations), but also in the academic environment (scientific conferences, round tables, symposia, business correspondence, etc.). That is why teachers of English are looking for more productive ways and methods of language teaching to meet the challenges of nowadays’ world. But to plan their teaching process, concerning all those requirements, we must take into account our students’ personal qualities, interests, their individual abilities to study, the level of desire to master their professional foreign language and their cognitive skills and abilities. When a student is lucky to have good cognitive skills, he can obtain new amount of information quickly and with ease, but when his cognitive skills are poor and weak, and they can’t catch the information properly, then the process of studying turns out to be for him a real suffering. But many psychologists prove, that irrespective to peoples’ age and individual learning abilities, all cognitive skills could be developed and enhanced with the correct approach to training them.
