The artificial satellites have become an integral part of the modern life. They work for multiple purposes, such as communication, monitoring, navigation and scientific research. The satellites on geostationary orbit (GEO) hold the most interest. Inevitably there appears a task to provide service to prolong the life of satellites on GEO, which requires an ability to find ones coordinates. This task can be solved by the means of global navigation satellite systems (GNSS). The given work describes some of the experimental results of imitating the use of GNSS for navigation on GEO. The experiment involved the mathematical model that was used to provide the data on available satellites for GEO and the resulting accuracy and GDOP values and a hardware-software complex to estimate the navigation parameters of GEO on Earth. Some of the results are provided in the article.uk_UA
