Abstract: In this paper the polarimetric approach for wind phenomena detection and study is proposed and analyzed. The polarimetric estimation of turbulence intensity is made with single unipolarized antenna radar system. The turbulence intensity classification based on statistical parameters of radar reflections from rain is made.
